Cabinet Maker/joiner

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team. As a Cabinet Maker, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and finishing a rang of solid wooden furniture. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work with various tools and materials.

We may be willing to take on a trainee for this role but common sense and a desire to work are essential.

MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORT due to location. No public transport is available in this area.

We would ideally like to offer this position to someone that lives locally (within 30 mins drive) as traffic beyond the nearest towns will cause hours of added travel time to your day.

**Duties**:

- Read and interpret sketches, or drawings to determine specifications and requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood pieces to build cabinets and furniture
- Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and knobs
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy

To work as part of a team and be motivated to work alone.

**Skills**:

- Proficient in cabinet making techniques and woodworking principles
- Knowledge of wood and its characteristics
- Ability to operate various machines, hand tools and power tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts
- Ability to fabricate custom pieces based on client specifications
- Physical fit for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods

**Salary**: £8.00-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
