**Excellerate Services are recruiting for**: Junior IT Deployment Technician

(Multiple Roles available) 12 Month FTC with opportunity to go perm

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Technician to join our team. The Technician will be responsible for installing and maintaining LoRaWAN sensors and gateways at project locations across the UK. This includes conducting site surveys, installing equipment, configuring sensors, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. The Technician must have a strong understanding of LoRaWAN technology and sensor installation best practices. They must also be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly and efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Conduct site surveys to identify optimal sensor placement, gateway location, and power requirements.

Install gateways and sensors at each location, ensuring proper placement and functionality.

Configure sensors to connect to the network and send data to the back-office software system.

Assist in testing and validation of sensor functionality and data accuracy.

Troubleshoot and resolve any hardware or connectivity issues that arise during installation.

**Qualifications**:
Technical diploma or certification in electronics, networking, or a related field.

Proven experience working with IoT hardware and networking protocols.

Strong understanding of LoRaWAN technology and sensor installation best practices.

Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.

**Required Skills**:

- Experience with LoRaWAN gateways and sensors.
- Experience with cloud-based IoT platforms.
- Experience with Linux operating systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

**The role will require regular UK travel, Company Van will be supplied**

**Clean UK driving license is essential**

**Hours and Salary**:

- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- £25k -30k depending on experience
