**Contract/Hours: Fixed Term contract until 31**st** March 2024 / Part-Time - 18.5 hours per week (generally split across 3 days but can be flexible)**

**A bit about the role**

The Caledonian System is an integrated approach to address men's domestic abuse and improve the lives of women, children, and men.

We're looking for a Family Support Practitioner to be based in the Criminal Justice office in Perth, where you will be located with the Caledonian Delivery Group which will comprise of the Women's Worker, Children's Worker, and Criminal Justice Social Workers. This is an outreach post.

The Family Support Practitioner will look to increase the safety of women and their children through safety planning and joint risk assessments. This role will involve supporting women on a one-one basis in activities that help promote their emotional wellbeing.

**How you'll help to create brighter futures**

As a Family Support Practitioner you'll work to aim to reduce the risk to women and their children, and to improve women's social and emotional wellbeing.

Some have key responsibilities will be;
- Giving clear messages and develop understanding about domestic abuse.
- Provide emotional and practical support to the woman and take part in safety planning.
- Being part of a multi-agency partnership with other agencies and the wider Caledonian team.

**Let's talk about you**
- SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a related field.
- Knowledge of Domestic abuse interventions would be highly beneficial.
- Experience of working directly with children and families, either individually or in a group setting.
- Experience of delivering target-based programmes or initiatives.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding.
- A driving license and a suitable means of transport to enable the duties of the role to be carried out.
