**About The Role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for the role of Head of Governance. This role will also sit as a key member of the Management Executive group providing overall leaderships to the business.

Governance is pivotal to all our regulatory activity at allpay and within this role you will be the operational lead working directly with the Governance Director and will be accountable for the provision of an innovative governance function to meet legal and regulatory requirements which support sound business decision making.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring high standards of governance and regulation and has the vision to take allpay to the next level of payments and banking capability.

In this role you will be:

- Leading multiple teams across Regulatory Compliance, Audit, Cyber Security, Information Security, Data Protection, Contracts and Legal having the ability to pull all this together into our overarching Corporate Governance Strategy ensuring we provide a service across all areas that is adding value, far above and beyond ensuring we are just compliant.
- Providing leadership and insight you will be able to interpret highly complex situations to all audiences and gain buy in to your proposed solutions, creativity and thinking outside of standard solutions are vital to ensuring allpays future vision becomes a reality.
- Having a business partner approach you will create and maintain great relationships across the Board, Exec Management level and all across the business, encouraging collaboration to drive the organisation forward.
- Data, and the story around this, is going to be key to sharing the right information with the Board be this in a risk, regulatory, banking or data protection capacity.
- You will also be comfortable taking the lead with regulatory bodies and stepping in as cover for our Governance Director when they are away from the business.
- Education is really important in this role and will enable our Board and various committees to fulfill their statutory and regulatory duties in line with Companies House, Financial Conduct Authority, HMRC and the National Crime Agency requirements, to name but a few.
- You will represent and act as an advocate for the business in all forums and environments.

**About You**:

- Broad and extensive knowledge in regulatory requirements and legislation relating to governance within the banking sector and / or payments industry more widely.
- Proven extensive knowledge of Data Protection legislation including changes and developments for General Data Protection Regulation.
- Proven previous leadership background, with the ability to build and motivate a high performing team.
- Ability to demonstrate highly effective levels of communication, collaboration and rapport building skills with the ability to explain technical information to a wide audience.
- Previous experience of recruiting and training future talent for Board and Committee members.
- Being acceptable to the Regulator to be approved as an EMD (E-money Directive) Approved Person.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of agility with the ability to work in an at times ambiguous yet fast paced environment to improve operational performance.
- Proven ability to be making decisions that support the whole business with integrity.
- Proven presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of audiences including the Board of Directors.
- Proven previous working knowledge of budget planning, financial management and resource allocation.
