Internal Audit’s role at the University is highly regarded and increasingly strategic and advisory. We undertake a broad spectrum of work on a wide range of topics - covering large strategic change programmes, the management of strategic risks and the design and operation of core processes (financial and non-financial).

You will be CCAB or CIIA qualified or equivalent, with experience of internal audit, external audit or related advisory services, which may have been gained in a professional services firm. You will be a motivated individual with the ability to quickly adapt to a Higher Education environment alongside understanding risks, systems and processes efficiently. Other related experience and qualifications, such as fraud investigator or project management are desirable but not necessary.

The Senior Internal Auditor role will focus mainly on audits relating to strategic risks, with an expectation of independent working, and interaction with senior stakeholders. This role requires significant relevant experience and the ability to work through complexity and ambiguity.
