**Retort Operative **wanted in Malton, North Yorkshire

**PAY: £10.90-£12.90 per hour**

**HOURS: 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm**

**DAYS: Monday-Friday**

Pro-Pak Foods is a major supplier of delicious ready meals to many of the UK’s leading supermarkets and convenience stores. Our chefs, working with our customers, have created a menu of more than 200 quality meals.

All our ready meals are pasteurised and sterilised in the retorts, to give them an extended shelf life. The retorts have pre-set programmes to cope with different pack sizes and different product heating characteristics. Your role will be to manage this process and ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to.

**Role responsibilities include**:

- Loading ready meal racks onto the retort racks.
- Programming retorts.
- Completing all required documentation to a high standard.
- Maximising retort capacity.
- Following company procedures in relation to operation and health and safety.
- Understanding of HACCP and critical control points.

Due to the nature of the role, a good understanding of Maths and English is required. Completing required documentation accurately and with attention to detail is essential.
