Mining Assistant

Job Summary:
A position has become available for a mining assistant at Stoke Hill Mine, Limpley Stoke.

The role would require a physically able operative to fuel up the HVO plant underground, load out the working areas with bolts, straps, mesh panels, airline, and equipment, as well as loading and hauling Bath Stone blocks to the surface.

Full training to the National Occupational Standard would be given and the successful applicant would become proficient in the use of tractors, forklifts & skidsteers.

The position is full time, Monday to Friday 07:00 - 15:30, overtime is available at the managers discretion. Starting salary is £24,00 pa and after a satisfactory 3 month probationary period would increase to £25,000 pa.
