Payroll Manager

**Payroll Manager | £30,000 - £35,000 | Holmfirth (hybrid working with 2 days from home)**

**The Opportunity**

Longstanding, acquisitive, professional firm of accountants have a unique opportunity for an experienced payroll professional, with a background in practice, to join their friendly team based in Holmfirth.

As a result of rapid growth and expansion, they have recently invested and implemented modern software, and are at an exciting juncture, offering an excellent springboard for someone who is looking to step up in their career and progress within a modernthinking, growing practice.

You will be the primary contact for all aspects of payroll, with full responsibility for the payroll function. You will provide a broad range of services and support a diverse portfolio of clients across a myriad of sectors, ranging from sole traders tosuccessful limited companies.

This is ideal for someone who is keen to develop a team, and work towards offering a consultative service to clients, whilst improving and streamlining processes. You will enjoy plenty of autonomy and a real chance to add value within the payroll offering.

You will report directly to the highly approachable and welcoming partners of the practice. It is a close knit and collaborative team. You will need:

- Demonstrable experience of payroll / payroll management within a firm of accountants.
- Confidence in communicating with clients and stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy, workload and meet deadlines
- A natural ability to solve problems and a calm, measured approach to finding solutions.
- The ability to identify areas of improvement, and implement strong processes and controls
