CNC Machinist

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist/Designer to join one of our well-established Specialist Mechanical Design and Manufacturing clients in the Scarborough area.

Key accountabilities:

- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and tolerances. Use precision measuring equipment.
- Operate CNC Haas milling machine to manufacture components to quality requirements.
- Design components in accordance with drawing, technical and quality specifications.
- Maintain behaviour in compliance with company’s QHSE requirements.
- Maintain responsibility and accountability through personal commitment and behaviour.
- Report any unsafe or environmentally unsound acts and conditions to their immediate.
- Supervisor such that remedial action can be taken to manage the risk.
- Full UK Driving License (REQUIRED)
- Experience of operating Haas CNC Milling Machines (REQUIRED)
- Experience of Fanuc CNC Control System (REQUIRED)
- Minimum 3 years machine shop experience (REQUIRED)
- Working knowledge and a good understanding of the qualities of various metals and plastics (REQUIRED)
- SolidWorks 3D CAD Knowledge (DESIRABLE)
- CamWorks (DESIRABLE)
- Fork Lift Certification (DESIRABLE)
- ONC / HNC in suitable related discipline (DESIRABLE)

- Enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude. Hard working, able to work under pressure.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills. Keen eye for details.

Hours:

- Monday to Friday 8hr shift. Full time, 40 hours per week. - Over time available.

**Salary**:

- up to £18.00 per hour - Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
