Job Introduction
An opportunity has arisen for an Operator (Fitting/Stores) based at our Hinckley Depot.

As an Operator you will maintain the stock inventory within the local stores at Hinckley, take in deliveries and issue items to customers. You will also inspect, maintain and repair ancillary items such as spiking guns, ladders, portable gas equipment, test equipment etc. Some electrical experience would be an advantage, however full training will be given.
The role is based at Hinckley depot as part of a team, however at times you may need to assist field based teams out on site. Typically, work associated with the inspection, repair, maintenance and construction of plant and switchgear up to 66KV.

The environment requires you to be able to react quickly, decisively and responsibly. You will also need to be flexible in your approach to assist the team in meeting its objectives. This role is suitable for someone who enjoys the demands of a physical environment.

If you are offered a position, you will be required to successfully complete a basic DBS check that shows any unspent convictions or conditional cautions.

Main Responsibilities
Some of the work involves being away from the depot, normally working in a team of two people. The environment requires you to be able to react quickly, decisively and responsibly. You will also need to be flexible in your approach to assist the team in meeting its objectives. The role is suitable for someone who enjoys the demands of a physical outdoor environment.

You will need to be mobile throughout the area as you may also be required to undertake out of hours standby duties, therefore a full driving license is required.

Please note, where job roles involve working at height and the use of Personal Fall Protection Equipment, there are restrictions on the maximum weight of the individual.
