Accountant - HRa

**Client**:
Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a reputable local authority who are looking to identify a Housing Revenue Accounts (HRA) Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will require someone with strong business partneringskills who is well-versed with Housing or Public Sector accounts.

**Duties will include;**
- Provide a comprehensive financial planning service that supports the achievement of the organisations priorities for housing delivery
- Take lead responsibility for maintaining the HRA Business Plan and forecasting the impacts on it of investment in both existing and new supplies
- Lead on rent setting and modelling, including affordable rents and advise on low cost home ownership schemes
- Ensure that legislative changes, public sector expectations and funding allocations are financially appraised, statutory requirements have been met and income has been maximised and correctly accounted

**The successful HRA Accountant;**
- Experience in Housing or Public Sector Finance
- Qualified Accountant (will consider Qualified by experience)
- The ability to build influential relationships at all levels
