SCJ consulting is working with the school to support in finding the right person for this role.

The school have an opportunity for an Examinations officer to join to cover maternity leave from May for a year. The role involves being responsible for the administration and organisation of all aspects of the external and internal examinations. This is a key role especially with the summer examinations coming up. The role has a whole school impact as the responsibilities directly relate to student outcomes. Some of the key responsibilities of the role are:

- Leading on the implementation of access arrangements for the examinations.
- Ensuring the school achieves a positive climate for learning.
- Implementing the school’s examinations system through effective procedures both working autonomously and under the direction of the Director of Learning for Systems and Procedures or Senior Leadership Team.
- Stringent adherence to JCQ policies.
- Ensuring the safe receipt/custody/security and organisation of examination stationery and materials, including question papers, in accordance with examination (JCQ) regulations.
- Overseeing the team of invigilators and their deployment during exams.
- Take decisions with regard to examination practices and regulations during the internal and external examinations.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- GCSE at grade 4+ (A*-C) in English and mathematics or equivalent
- Evidence of further study and qualifications beyond the age of 16
- Strong IT skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
