Fitters Mate

**CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent**

**SALARY: £16.00 per hour**

**CLOSING DATE: 12**th** March 2023**

The Fitters Mate / Cleaner role exists to assist the fitter and electrician with their roles alongside industrial cleaning on the conveyors.

**_ The role briefly encompasses the following duties: -_**
- The fitter’s mate will support the mechanical and electrical fitters in all aspects of their role and will carry out cleaning around the crusher station and along the conveyor route to ensure that any spillage is removed as soon as possible.
- Assisting in areas of industrial cleaning to a high standard
- Understanding of Safe Working Procedures.
- Attend any meetings or training sessions as required
- Any other related duties as requested by the Site Manager
- Knowledge of conveyors
- Positive attitude to safety
- Previous experience working onmaterial handling sites
- Knowledge and experience of conveyors would be advantageous
- Able to undertake duties involving heavy manual labour
- Able to communicate well at all levels
- Have a good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
- Flexible approach to work
- A strong team player
- Ability to work independently and on own initiative
- Good time keeping and willing to work overtime as necessary
- Able to share knowledge and skills with other Hargreaves personnel
