G’s is an incredibly exciting place to work at the forefront of modern farming and food distribution, working with the biggest food retail brands in the UK and Europe.

Our business has been experiencing exponential growth, and at our site in March where we produce over 80% of the UK’s prepared Beetroot products and we are looking to grow our technical team.

We are looking for a Food Technologist with a passion for fresh produce and EPD to work with us to. development improvements of existing products and the development of new products from concept to finish.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Continually looking and considering different ways of improving and developing existing product lines.
- Owning the EPD process from kitchen concept to final product
- Work with the sites packaging buyer to find improved, sustainable alternative packaging options for Beetroot Products
- Work with the sites Process Development Manager to deliver packaging factory trials from concept to finished product.
- Coordinate concept to launch of new products.
- Attending customer submissions
- Producing Factory samples with the QA Manager
- Being a key member of the site Technical Team working closely with the QA and Process Development Teams.
- Managing and chairing the Weekly Development Meeting and subsequent Gate meetings
- Completing kitchen shelf life and organising micro testing
- Being familiar with the sites Technical and Food Safety Procedures so they are considered in the NPD and EPD process.
- Being an active member of the sites HACCP Team.
- Collaborating with marketing and insight and commercial teams to gather and present market data keeping the site informed and up to date and to advise on new market opportunities.
- Experience within EPD or NPD in the food sector
- Strong communications skills
- Ability to prioritise.
- Attention to accuracy and detail required.
- Ability to influence and promote ideas.
- Team player
