A full-time post as F2 in Cardiothoracic Surgery is available at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, based primarily at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. The post would be suitable for an experienced F2 or core surgical trainee equivalent, or other seeking a career in cardiothoracic surgery and hoping to obtain an NTN, or a more experienced trainee wishing to gain further dedicated experience in cardiothoracic surgery. The unit provides a service covering all aspects of adult cardiothoracic surgery (on
- and off-pump CABG, aortic and mitral valve surgery, aortic aneurysm surgery, complex lung resections, full VATS service, chest wall reconstruction and endo-bronchial treatments) excluding transplantation and oesophageal surgery. The department encourages participation in clinical research, audit and teaching. This post is not approved for training and does not carry an NTN.
