**Telecare Assessor/Installer**

**Band 7: £24,054,166 to £26,845 pa (with Pay Award £25,979 - £28,770 pa)**

**1 x 37 hours per week**

**Permanent**

**Based at BACES, Station Road, Low Moor, Bradford, BD12 0LU (Required to work within Bradford Council** **area)**

You will be required:

- To act as the main point of contact for telecare assessments within the district, providing assistance to other services and staff to enable them to make use of the telecare equipment and other assistive technologies.
- To carry out the installation of telecare equipment for individual clients as part of an assessed telecare package.
- To undertake telecare assessments as required and to review the appropriateness and quality of the service provided, including ongoing reviews of equipment used.
- To keep detailed servicing, maintenance and repair records of equipment and produce reports as required.
- To have direct contact with clients and professional staff where appropriate i.e. when fitting, servicing, delivering, and assessing for equipment need or monitoring such equipment.
- An ability to deal with difficult situations and clients from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
- IT literate, experience of using standard information technology, it is desirable to have IT qualification.
- Must have basic knowledge of using DIY tools, e.g. drill, ladders
- A willingness to attend appropriate training in areas identified to meet the service needs.

A requirement of the post is to have a full driving licence.

A DBS check is also a requirement of this post.
