Intertek's Exploration and Production global business line provides analytical testing and knowledge-based consultancy services along the entire oil and gas value chain - from reservoir to refinery.

Due to continued growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Stores Assistant to join our E&P team based in Aberdeen. You will be responsible for the day-to-day deliveries of materials to clients and assisting in the running of the store’s department in an efficient and effective manner, working with colleagues to ensure that tasks are completed on time to comply with company policies and client contract deliverables.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- On-time dispatch of customer orders ensuring customer delivery dates are met for client orders
- Have a good working knowledge of VSR+ system to be able to deputise in the absence of the Stock Controller or Materials and Premises Supervisor
- Prepare purchase requisitions for the laboratory and for resale to clients, maintaining ordering data spreadsheet
- Package items for onshore/offshore delivery
- Preparation of Intertek delivery notes for subcontracts and local collections
- Packaging of Dangerous Goods (DG) as per DG Regulations
- Provide receipt of deliveries, unpacking and distributing thereafter as necessary
- Assist with the loading/unloading of deliveries (excluding cylinders)
- Assist with disposal of waste in line with procedures and all areas within the stores and yard
- Carry out necessary weekly/monthly checks on company vehicles as required
- Scheduled cleaning and disinfection of shower heads as required
- Providing lab personnel with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) as required
- Assist the Stock Controller and/or Media Production Supervisor as required with the maintenance of accurate stock records for both retail consumables and media and carry out monthly stock checks
- Delivery and collection of goods and samples as required
- Follow in-house procedures for both internal and external equipment for calibration, service and repair
- Ensure general good housekeeping in areas of responsibility, the area should be tidy and in reasonable order, ensuring safe operating practices and a smooth running within the area whilst putting in place any reasonable improvements as required

**Key Requirements**:

- No specific academic qualifications are required for this role, but a good standard of education will be expected
- Full UK driving licence
- Dangerous Goods awareness
- Previous stores/warehouse experience desirable
- IT literate
- Forklift experience advantageous
