Winter Groundworker

Winter Resilience Handworkers at Heathrow Airport are responsible for using hand operated equipment, shovels and brushes to remove snow form footpaths and smaller areas.

**Contract information**
As a Winter Resilience Ground Operative, you will be required to:

- Attend a 4hr induction at the start of the season
- Be available to attend ad-hoc shifts based on adverse weather between September 2023 - May 2024
- Safely and efficiently work within a team to remove snow using hand operated equipment, shovels and brushes?
- Have the ability to work assigned shifts, and extended hours (evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) as winter events require
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions

**Shift Times**
This is ad-hoc emergency work. Your hours will vary and you must be flexible enough to work days, nights, weekdays and weekends.

**Person Specification**
- Be able to commit to ad-hoc work at short notice
- Have a zero tolerance approach to health & safety
- Good attention to detail and a meticulous approach to your work
- Must be hardworking & reliable with an excellent work ethic

**Requirements**:
Due to the location of work being at the airport you must qualify to work in the restricted area. Therefore, you will need to be able to provide the following information:

- Eligibility to work in UK (UK Passport, EU Passport, Non-EU Passport & Visa, Biometric Residence Permit, UK Birth Certificate & UK Driving Licence (British citizens only)

This role will suit individuals in construction or agricultural trades such as groundworker, bricklayer, gardener, landscaper etc.
Or those who are self-employed, semi-retired, in flexible zero-hour roles or those on shift work.

**Salary**: From £225.00 per day
