**Job Title**:Credit Controller / Finance Assistant
**Location**: Chelmsford
**Salary**: £30,000 - £35,000 per year depending on experience
**Job Type**:Permanent**,**Full Time. This role will be office-based Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
**Purpose of the Role/ Key Responsibilities**:
You will be required to work closely with our Finance Director and Sales Team. Please see a breakdown of duties you will be required to undertake;
- Preparing bank reconciliations
- Overseeing the purchase ledger function
- Maintaining the sales ledger
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Month end & Year end reporting
- Preparation of audits
- Review company financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs.
- Preparation of financial reports that summaries and forecast the organisation's financial position, such as income statements, balance sheets and analysis of future earnings or expenses.
- Credit control
- Customer credit referencing and reviews.
- Processing card payments
- Customer and supplier queries
- Vat returns.
- Paye & NI payments
- Process payroll
- PCN Notices - Appeals and payments
- Supporting the Directors as required
- Ad hoc duties
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Required - At least six months experience of using Sage 200.
- Desired - AAT Level 2/3 or working towards qualification.
**_Please note that this role will be office based at our premises in Great Baddow. You should hold a Driving Licence and have access to a car due to location which is not accessible in any way by public transport._
