The purpose of the role is to carry out all activities necessary to ensure the safe loading, sorting, grading and unloading of scrap metal. To organise material to ensure good standards of housekeeping are met.

Key accountabilities of the role holder include:
Safely stockpile various grades of scrap metal, and assist with loading and unloading

Ensure materials are stored in accordance with company policy

Ensure daily checks are completed

Coordinate with other operatives to ensure the correct processing of all loads

Process material to conform with grade specification

Liaise with customers, drivers and contractors who visit the site

Ensure the working area is kept in a clean and tidy state at all times

Able to work flexible working hours to include occasional evenings and weekends

Operation of site based machinery including the shear

Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require

Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Widnes, WA8 0TL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Machine Operator: 2 years (required)
