The post holder is responsible for managing the process of IM&T sourcing[ finding best value and raising requisitions] with our procurement colleagues in accordance with local instructions, policies and standing financial instructions. This includes assisting in the choice of equipment, preparing competitive quotations, the ordering, receipting and arranging commissioning of IT equipment. To include hardware, software, mobile phones and peripherals on SBS and other supplier automated systems.

The postholder will be required to work as part of a team to provide an effective procurement service that delivers in a timely and professional way.

We support our DDaT colleagues by working with Procurement and Asset Management to deliver an end to end supply chain service. You would be a valuable member of that team responsible for getting quotes, raising requisitions, sorting deliveries, receipting and helping our colleagues in Finance to resolve invoice issues. We run a simple catalogue and you will be ordering small items and peripherals for direct delivery to our GP colleague, or supporting our Assets team in maintaining stock of essential supplies for our desktop engineers and support team.

We would ask you to help these teams keep our customers working, which may mean being able to change priorities and tasks at a moment's notice.

Suitable for an experienced administrator with a desire to work within the NHS, ensuring value for public money and helping to improve outcomes for our support services supporting patients through innovative, efficient and robust business performance reporting and process management.

- Supporting day to day procurement of technology peripherals and software.
- Managing monitoring and tracking orders through to delivery.
- Preparation of management and customer reports.
- Develops, coordinates and delivers a cost effective purchasing/contracts work plan to achieve financial targets
- Advises users/budget holders on procurement policies and procedures and recommends sources of supply/savings opportunities
- Undertakes purchasing activity and organises medium/high value contracts
- Processes orders, investigates, and resolves supply related problems [i.e., receipting queries, deliveries, and invoice queries.
