**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Administrative Support**:
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the HR department.
- Maintain and update employee records in the HR database.
- **Recruitment and Onboarding**:
- Support the recruitment process by posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new staff, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and filed.
- Prepare induction materials and coordinate induction sessions for new employees.
- **Employee Relations**:
- Provide support in handling employee inquiries and resolving routine HR issues.
- Assist with the coordination of staff training and development programs.
- Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- **Payroll and Benefits**:
- Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain records of staff absences, leave, and other relevant data.
- Support the administration of employee benefits programs.
- **Compliance and Record-Keeping**:
- Ensure all HR activities comply with relevant laws and school policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of staff qualifications, DBS checks, and other compliance-related documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of HR reports and data analysis.
**Person Specification**:
- **Qualifications and Experience**:
- Previous experience in an HR role, preferably within an educational setting.
- A relevant qualification in HR or a related field is desirable.
- Familiarity with HR software and databases.
- **Skills and Attributes**:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good understanding of HR practices and employment law
Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
