**Plastic Extrusion Setter**

**Hours: Monday - Thursday 7am - 7pm (48 hour week)**

**Salary: Up to £32,000**

I am currently working with a well known organization based within the West Midlands who are looking for an experienced Plastic Extruder with experience of both Setting & Operating machinery.

**Role Description**

Working for a leading manufacturer and distributor of electrical, mechanical, and safety infrastructure solutions. With approximately 3,900 employees and 65 manufacturing and distribution facilities worldwide, we manufacture electrical conduit, cable management systems, armored cable, metal framing, and security products and solutions

As the Plastic Extrusion Setter/Team leader you will be responsible to safely operate machinery used in the production of coated steel and plastic corrugated conduit and a wide range of turned metallic fittings

**General Scope of work**
- Set Corrugation machine to produce plastic conduits ranging from 10mm - 80mm diameter from various grades of polymer mixes
- Count and monitor consumables for the department
- Assist with the smooth running of the Department
- Ensure the product manufactured conforms to our in-house quality standards.
- Train and guide operators, apprentices, conduct inductions etc as necessary.
- Ensure housekeeping and 5S activities are maintained.
- Undertake any other duties of a similar level or nature as requested.

**Qualifications/Experience/Interests**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an extrusion role
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing/engineering environment
- Familiarity with logic controllers and tooling used in extrusion operations.
- Experience with logic controllers and other automation systems
- Welding experience is an advantage.
- Mechanical knowledge to understand the operation of extrusion equipment.
- Ability to supervise and give guidance to others

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: Up to £32,000.00 per year
