**Controller of site safety (COSS)**
We have an exciting opportunity for 2 - 3 Minor Civils COSS’S to join our busy Civil engineering division which specialises in sub and super structure installation, general minor civils, loc bases, troughing, walkways, structural steel work refurbishments, painting, screw piling, surveys, and ground investigation.
**Role**
As a Controller of Site Safety, you will:
- Act as PIC/team leader as well as undertake COSS duties in a small team of 3 - 4 members.
- Manage site safety activities and promote safe working practices.
- Assist in the creation site safety documentation as per 019 standard.
- Provide good quality briefings of the TBS/WPP/COSS at the start of each shift to all workforce & ensure understanding by all.
**Experience/Qualifications**
Essential
- PTS/COSS competence
- The ability to supervise and lead the site team in the successful delivery of the allocated contracts.
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with site staff and project team.
- Must be experienced in minor railway civil engineering works such as foundation installation, loc installation and steelwork refurbishment.
- Full UK driving licence

**Hours**
Full -Time, Permanent.
Applicants must be available to work nights and weekends and willing to travel throughout the UK due to the nature of the business
Weekend working is required with staff expected to be available for 3 out of 4 weekends with a roster system in place. Additional weekends can be booked off with prior notice.
**Salary**
Shift Rates
£110 to £240 Midweek
£310 weekend
