Montgomery Customs are looking for a Trainee Declarations Agent to join their established team in Newtownabbey.

**Duties**
- To act as direct point of contact for clients, ensuring that all operational, Customs requirements and enquiries are responded to on time and concluded accurately and courteously
- Maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist in the preparation of the Customs & Excise Administration, ensuring that all HMRC statutory regulations are adhered to by providing all the required information to the brokerage teams to complete the relevant customs declarations for movements across the Irish Sea
- Escalating any issues to the management team immediately to allow them to be dealt with in a timely manner
- Ensuring you work as a team member such that you have effective and close working relationships with other internal teams, departments, and sites across the MTG Group
- Sending relevant shipping information to customers and 3rd party brokerage teams
- Demonstrating a team focused approach to work by working closely with your colleagues and providing support where required
- Accurately submit data from spreadsheets onto the customs software
- Ensure all relevant documentation has been generated and saved, and that all entries are correctly recorded on the relevant TMS system by monitoring and prioritising entries, so they are completed in a timely manner
- Use of customs software such as GVMS, TSS, and RoRo
- Typing Skills
- Knowledge Of Microsoft Software

- Basic Data Research Skills
- Basic Understanding of Database Structure

**Salary**: £21,600.00 per year
