Floating Support Worker

**What is great about the role?**
The Cardiff Floating Support team, work with people who are facing homelessness or housing issues.We work with people who may be home owners, council or housing association tenants, renting privately or sofa surfing or in temporary accommodation with theaim of sustaining their tenancies or finding them a home.Our role is to assess that they meet the criteria and undertake an assessment of their needs and to work with them to support them to achieve their goals through support planning.
You would be working with people who are faced with housing issues such as ASB, rent arrears, benefit issues, finding private rented accommodation or needing to downsize. These people also could have issues around physical health impairments, mental healthissues, learning difficulties or substance misuse issues and it’s possible they could be single parents, young people, domestic abuse survivors, ex-offenders, refugees, families or older persons.
**We have permanent positions available for 37 hours per week.**
**Hours are predominately worked Monday to Friday, but flexibility is required as you may be expected to attend PIP or other appointments on a Saturday or Sunday and on some occasions work outside 9 to 5 to support people who have fixed commitmentsof work and in case of emergencies**
**You need to be able to drive and have access to a vehicle for this role and you will also require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.**
