The crown inn is a small local pub partnered with punch pubs serving food and alcohol. Located on a main road next to a football ground, we are extremely busy. We are on the lookout for a brand new cook to join our growing team.
A great chef within this site needs to have a strong work ethic, hardworking attitude and willingness to help others. It really is as simple as that We just want you for being the amazing you, cook amazing food, work within a team and inspire others to be amazing too Our menus are designed by punch and we aim to deliver the highest standard of these,
Main duties:
- Prepare, cook and serve food using ingredients to the highest standards
- Be able to lone work and ensure orders go out in a timely manner and food is prepared and plated to an excellent standard
- Keep accurate records and reporting. Fridge temperatures, cooking temperatures, hot holding temperatures, cooling records, cleaning records, delivery records.
- Work in a fast paced environment where organisation and forward planning are essential.
- Ensure appropriate stock levels that are correctly organised and labelled. Ensuring stock rotation and quality. Minimise waste & maximise productivity.
- Ensure effective communication between all of the cooks in the team and front of house team.
- Ensure food safety and allergy regulations are adhered to at all times.
- This is not a complete list. You may be asked to undertake a variety of different tasks in addition.
Work Conditions
Our cook will be required to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays. We do ask for flexibility. This role is for work days to be between Thursday - Sunday; Sundays are every week.
Salary is dependent on experience with opportunity for pay rise after probationary period.
