N&T Civils Ltd, are looking for a motivated, experienced and skilled HGV mechanic / fitter to join our commercial vehicle workshop.

This role will give an experienced and skilled mechanic/fitter an opportunity to demonstrate an ability to work within a fast-paced environment within tight deadlines as part of a team and autonomously to ensure continuity of business and minimise downtime.

**Responsibilities of a HGV Mechanic**
- Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards.
- Preparation and presentation of vehicles for MOT inspection.
- Diagnosing vehicle defects
- Ordering of parts and taking deliveries.
- Comprehensive completion of all documentation including worksheets.
- Vehicle breakdown and roadside repairs as necessary.
- General yard duties as and when required.

**Role requirements**
- Excellent knowledge of HGV vehicle.
- HGV Class 1 driving licence with DCPC & Tacho (desired)
- Team player
- Organised
- Self-motivated
- Proactive
- Able to work on own initiative
- A good communicator
- Flexible in your approach
- Accurate when producing written records.

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift

**Experience**:

- HGV Mechanics: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
- HGV Licence (preferred)
