**Marble Talent Group** are currently recruitng for a **Maintenance/Plant Engineer** for our clients site in **Norwich**

**Department**: Operations and Maintenance

**Hours**: 48 per week - Monday to Friday

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic Operations and Maintenance team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the maintenance and operations teams to identify and address the root causes of mechanical defects and breakdowns. Your goal will be to offer effective solutions, resolving issues in a timely and safe manner. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting preventative maintenance activities across our quarry and asphalt plants.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to develop and implement a preventative maintenance system.
- Execute planned maintenance activities to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our plants.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of plant improvements.
- Respond promptly to unplanned plant shutdowns, working closely with the wider team and contractors as needed.
- Maintain mechanical machines and processing plants, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Continuously improve the mechanical maintenance regime on-site.
- Install and commission new mechanical plant assets as required.
- Communicate effectively with the operations management team, reporting site defects, remedials, and improvements in a timely manner.
- Utilise the checkproof system to log plant checks/defects and plan maintenance accordingly.
- Quickly fault-find and respond to any unplanned plant shutdowns, collaborating with team members and contractors as necessary.
- Conduct daily plant maintenance inspections.

**Strengths You'll Bring**:

- Experience in an industrial maintenance role.
- Knowledge and experience of hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, fabrication, and mechanics.
- NVQ in Mechanical Maintenance or BTEC equivalent.
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health and Safety and/or NEBOSH qualification (advantageous).
- A sound working knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment regulations.
- Computer literate.
- Full UK Driving License.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
