Your opportunity
- Operates an array of equipment including copiers, digital press, large format printer, booklet maker, and binding/finishing equipment to complete a variety of assignments for internal customers.
- Develops an effective, transparent work flow ensuring that job requirements are clearly understood, jobs are completed on time with exceptional quality, and client expectations are met or exceeded.
- Advanced knowledge of equipment maintenance. Able to troubleshoot issues and perform equipment maintenance as needed. Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule on all equipment. Schedules service technicians to service equipment as needed.
- Maintains an operational schedule ensuring proper staffing to maintain copy center operations during normal business hours and outside of normal hours as needed.
- Advanced experience utilizing a digital front end (DFE) to format complex jobs for printing and finishing. Experience with Fiery Command Workstation and Fiery Jobmaster strongly preferred.
- Advanced experience in large format printing including utilization of print RIPs (exp with ONYX 21 strongly preferred), knowledge of various substrates and their job appropriateness, manipulation of printer settings to achieve desired results, finishing/trimming and installation of printed materials.
- Interacts with internal clients to understand requirements, time frames/deadlines, provide expertise and guidance to achieve best results, and answer other questions as needed.
- Represent the copy center at print project meetings w Marketing and other stakeholders to assist in determining requirements, project schedule deadlines, and generally provide print expertise to the discussion.
- Manage office branding needs including coordination with the marketing team to agree upon artwork, provide measurements, mockups, and floor plans indicating location, fabrication and installation.
- Tracks key metrics and provides strategic analysis on a periodic basis to guide our long term vision and ensure the copy center is providing maximum value to our clients and the business as a whole.
- Sourcing and maintaining supply stock to meet anticipated demand including paper, inks, toners, maintenance kits, and bindery materials.
- Create and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Ensure that all elements of the workspace are in good condition and promote a safe and effective work environment.
- Maintain equipment in proper working condition ; clear paper jams; replace parts and toner and adjust equipment in response to minor malfunctions; perform minor repairs on duplication and other equipment as directed ; arrange for major maintenance and repairs as needed on equipment in Print copy room only.
