NCIC is excited to announce a volume recruitment drive for Bank Health Care Assistants needed across a variety of departments and locations in our Trust. We will be holding an assessment centre in Carlisle on Saturday 29th July. If you are successful at shortlisting stage you will be invited to attend on the day, please allow two hours for group assessment and interview. Please do not attend if you do not have an invitation.

The day will be fun, informative and will be focused on our values of kindness, respect, collaboration and ambition.

As a Bank HCA you will have duties as outlined in the Job description such as:

- To assist the registered nurses (or other healthcare practitioners) in providing high quality patient care
- When trained and deemed competent undertake clinical activities, using appropriate equipment
- Maintain patients’ privacy and dignity at all times and provide care in a compassionate and sensitive manner.
- Be an effective part of the multi-disciplinary team contributing to the departmental objectives.
- Continue to develop and maintain competencies in nursing tasks to maintain high quality safe care.
- Post holder will be expected to contribute to housekeeping and other ward / department duties as required, e.g. general tidiness, replenish stock and ensure clinical equipment is clean, working and stored correctly.
- Contributes to the work of the department by working under direct or indirect supervision of registered practitioners or assistant practitioners.

**Disclosure and Barring Service**:
On 28 November 2020, the new Disclosure and Barring Service filtering rules will come into effect.

**Standard Check**: £18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.

**Enhanced Check**: £38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90.
