Role Purpose
- To effectively manage the NHS waiting lists at all associated hospitals to our Patient Support Centre
- Accurately report on waiting list parameters namely 18week; 40 weeks and 52 weeks
- To ensure all NHS breaches are avoided and patients dated in a timely manner
- To coordinate any trust or CCG outsourcing by the means of inter provider transfers
- To utilise consultants within the hospitals to maximise all available capacity to meet our NHS breaches, inter provider transfer requests and monthly budgeted admissions
- To manage all NHS activity efficiently through strict compliance to Spire polices and agreed contractual guidelines.
- Be involved in contract meetings and be responsible for the operational requirements in order to support of the NHS national and local contracts.

Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Admissions Team Lead and Outpatients Team lead to ensure waiting list requests are actioned within the teams.
- Responsible for the reporting requirements and deadlines in line with all NHS contracts.
- Implement and develop new trackers for new/updated NHS contracts where applicable.
- Proactively manage the hospital’s NHS DOS’s (Directory of Service) and ERS (Electronic referral system) reports.
- Proactively review the hospital’s DOS for further opportunities and liaise with SMT.
- Attend contract meetings and drive and deliver agreed contract particulars for NHS contracts.
- Attend quarterly CCG meetings.
- Complete the breach report for all associated hospitals to our Patient Support Centre in a timely manner.
- Proactively manage the NHS Business.
- Ensure the NHS Patient Journey Manager reports on SAP are used and utilised.
- Manage the efficient utilisation of theatre lists for certain consultants; ensuring that patients are booked on to lists accordingly and cancellations are managed.
- Be responsible for the management of the NHS theatre bookings to ensure patients are booked in line with breach dates and theatre availability.
- To carry out any other related duties as requested.
- Attend the weekly planning meeting where required at all associated hospitals to our Patient Support Centre

Essential
- Previous leadership experience.
- Previous experience in an NHS Lead role.
- Proven experience within an administrative and/or customers service environment
- An ability to build working relationships
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proactive, enthusiastic, self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative without supervision
- Good organisational and prioritisation skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
- High degree of accuracy and a methodical approach to workload.
- Flexibility and adaptability to tasks and duties.
- A problem-solving approach.
- A professional attitude with a concern for confidentiality and customer service.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.

Desirable
- Previous experience interacting with Consultants and/or GPs
- Knowledge of hospital patient management systems and processes, or previous relevant experience in an NHS administrative support role.
