**Job Purpose**:
In the role of Receptionist at the Small Heath site, you will often be the first and last person that visitors meet. It is vital that you ensure a warm, welcoming experience and thrive on delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The position of Receptionist also includes administrative accountabilities across the site.

**Responsibilities**:

- Receptionist duties:

- taking and directing calls to relevant staff/teams and distributing messages;
- sorting and distributing incoming mail and deliveries, prepare outgoing mail and collections;
organising and maintaining the reception area and other meeting rooms; welcoming/signing in visitors; maintaining front of house security.
- Scheduling appointments and meeting times.
- Arranging catering for meetings and daily office use.
- Setting up meeting facilities.
- Ordering supplies, as required for the site.
- Using the Public Address (PA) loudspeaker system, as needed to call for people and make announcements.
- Answering questions about office hours and who is in the office at any given time.
- Interacting with other departments, such as Information Technology (IT) when someone needs more technical assistance.
- Directing calls to Sales and/or assisting clients making orders.
- Being site lead for ESI Cares.

**Requirements & Qualifications**:

- Previous experience of working within a customer service / front of house environment.

**Competencies**:

- Excellent and professional telephone manner.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain confidentiality and show discretion.
- Able to demonstrate adaptability in response to changing needs and priorities.
- Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
