Focused Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our clients food manufacturing site in the local area.
**Hours of work:
**Monday to Friday 8:00am - 16:00pm
**Overview:
**Responsible for scheduling production of goods and the necessary resources to ensure optimum efficiency. You will also monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage that may arise.
**Responsibilities**:

- You will work alongside the Production Manager and their Team, ensuring the production process can run smoothly and adheres to any relevant H&S and Quality specifications.
- **
Requirements**:

- Coordinate production work flow for multiple product types.
- Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
- Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand and plan according to availability.
- Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time.
- Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
- Obtain output information (number of finished products, rejects, disposals etc.)
- Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
- Keep paperwork/documents organized.
- Collaborate with Technical, Warehouse and other staff.
- Ensure products are planned in a cost-effective way that meets Quality specifications.
- Ensure products are ready for distribution in an orderly and timely fashion.
- Report potential production issues within plans and methods to the manager and investigate solutions.
- Update and/or amend plans as required.
- Continually assess planning and production flow, and recommend improvements.
- Liaise with Sales department to establish customer needs.
- Liaise with Engineering to ensure equipment maintenance is planned where required.
- Assist with Company stock take and weekly cycle counts whenever deemed necessary by the production manager.
- Any other duties deemed relevant to the role of Production Planner.
