**Financial Administrator / Bookkeeper**
**Wakefield, West Yorkshire**
**Permanent - Full time Employment - Mon - Fri**
**£24,000 - 28,000 per annum + great company benefits**
**The Client**
Our client is a rapidly expanding construction business with offices in Wakefield, Leeds, Manchester, and London. Due to their recent expansion and a strong order book, they are looking for a strong Financial Administrator / Bookkeeper that has at least 5 years of experience with both Sage and accountancy knowledge to join their company, to be based at their offices in Wakefield.
**Main Purpose of the Role**
Other responsibilities will include:
- Working on Sage, processing income and expenditure including banking, purchase order invoicing, petty cash management, payroll and basic credit control
- Verifying supplier invoices and posting to Sage
- Paying and posting Supplier payments
- Raising sales invoices and credit control
- Intercompany invoices and recharges
- Preparing payroll on Xero for submission to the company accountant
**Experience required**
- Experience working on Sage accountancy software.
- You will be confident in dealing with customers on the telephone.
- Strong administration skills
- Proficient in spoken / written English
- Able to work on own initiative
- Have strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are met
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
**The Rewards**
The starting salary is £24,000 - £28,000 per annum. T he company also offers additional incentives including flexitime, pension, on-site parking and career progression opportunities.
