37½ hours per week (Monday to Friday) 8.00am to 16.00pm

We have an excellent opportunity for a Carpenter (Multi-Skilled) to join our maintenance team, to carry out general building maintenance works to a wide range of building types.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Undertake all general maintenance building work in order to maintain all premises owned by Saffron or those they have an interest in.
- Carryout all work of a maintenance nature as required; this may include but is not limited to:

- Carpentry
- UPVC Door and Window repairs
- Tiling
- Minor Plumbing / Heating
- Undertake building work in association with improvements, minor works and small new build contracts.
- Ensuring the safety and security of Saffron’s tenants and properties by participating on the out of hours call out rota, as required.

- Relevant experience and knowledge in all types of maintenance work.
- Experience of working in both occupied and unoccupied properties and on occasions in extreme temperatures and conditions due to seasonal weather conditions.
- A recognised trade apprenticeship, NVQ level 2 or the equivalent level of skills and experience is required.
- Able to work as part of a team and also able to work independently without the need for close supervision.
- Excellent time management skills, including an ability to prioritise workload and meet agreed deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to liaise with various audiences.
- Ability to participate on the out of hours call out rota.
- On Call Standby - £130 per week
- Call Out Rate - paid at time and a half (double time for Bank Holidays)
- Full, current, valid driving licence.
