**The service is made up of 3 buildings across 2 sites**:
Bay6 - 6 bedrooms with communal areas including staff offices
Haddon Lodge - 5 one bedroom flats
Belgrave Court - 6 one bedroom flats
**Shift pattern**
Our service is open 7 days a week. Shifts are on a rota basis 5 days on, 2 days off. Shift times vary from 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 11am-7pm and 3pm-10pm.
**Starting salary**
Between £28,080 - £28,860

**Objectives of Service**
Bay6 provides a safe environment to offer holistic approach to young people to enable them to gain and develop the skills needed to live independently through one to one support and group work. Support Workers work alongside the young people to assess their needs and goals and develop individual plans to ensure we are working together towards positive outcomes.
**Some of the Key Responsibilities include**:
- To ensure the support needs of the young people are understood and fully met.
- To support the team in ensuring the service is meeting OFSTED standards for Supported Accommodation.
- To carry out staff supervisions.
- To lead on referrals and VOIDS/turning empty flats around ready for the next young person.
- Assessing and developing supports plans with the Young Person to achieve positive outcomes.
- To ensure health & safety routines are carried out within the building.
- To safeguard the Young People within the service.
- To record in line with Barnardo's recording policy.
- To ensure young people adhere to the rules of the service/House Code.
- Extensive experience of working with Young People and/or vulnerable adults.
- Confidence in overseeing support planning for young people and ensuring strategies and approaches agreed with other key agencies are embedded/implemented on a day-to-day basis.
- Awareness of factors impacting on and issues facing vulnerable young people and their families.
- Motivated to achieve the highest level of care and support.
- Experience of and ability to demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding and OFSTED regulations.
- IT literate with the ability to accurately record information.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently.
- Most importantly, you will need to enjoy the challenges and rewards of working with young people
