In order to support the growing demand for our oncology services we have secured Macmillan funding for 18 months fixed term to support Urology patients within the Oncology service, to specifically facilitate the support for individual patient needs by completing individual holistic needs assessments and care plans.

The cancer CNS role is a key worker role and the successful individuals would ideally be a registered nurse with a minimum of 12 months experience within the oncology specialty or a cancer site area.

We are seeking a motivated, proactive nurse with a vision and maturity to support this client group at their most vulnerable with the living with and beyond cancer programme. With the appropriate training and support you will be expected to support experienced clinicians making multi professional decisions and unsupervised nurse led clinics.

The role will support the living with and beyond cancer agenda and the survivorship programme established within the long term plan. The post is pivotal in supporting the existing team and allied health professionals within the group whilst contributing to a multi professional vision.

You must be an RN with current NMC registration and the Health Assessment Module or a willingness to undertake the module within 12 months of being in post.

The cancer CNS role is a key worker role. You will work with the existing multi professional team to offer support, care and treatment to those patients diagnosed with advanced cancer diagnoses. Your Macmillan role will focus specifically on the Urology Tumor site.

Support co-ordination during the patients cancer journey specifically related to their handover from the Urology directorate and community care colleagues
