As a Finance apprentice you will provide general financial support to the finance team whilst undertaking learning and development to progress with the AAT qualification over the term of the apprenticeship. You will work within the finance team supporting accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and processes.

You will complete a 2.5 year apprenticeship and will work towards a Level 2 or 3 AAT qualification depending on your current level.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Work within the finance team to support accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and processes
- Pro-actively participate in your own development plan as agreed with the line manager and assessor
- Assist in handling and resolving queries that arise around the accounts payable process
- Process new customer accounts, credit notes and report on customer cash collection
- Process journals and complete account reconciliations
- Review and reconcile balance sheet and control accounts
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns
- Assist with the production of the management accounts, including supporting others to monitor expenditure, investigate variances, and update financial forecasts
- Assist in the preparation of the year-end financial statements, and supporting financial audits
- Undertake other regular and ad hoc accounting or administrative activities, as required

**Who we are looking for**

To apply, we are looking for someone who has achieved GCSE’s in English and Maths (A*-C/ 9-4).

We are looking for someone who is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, has the ability to problem solve as well as someone with good communication skills

This position will be on a full time, permanent basis working 35 hours per week.
