Job Overview:
**Duties**:

- Ensuring cashiers adhere to the relevant health and safety guidelines.
- Ensuring that checkout areas are stocked with the required items, like shopping bags and till rolls, and are neat and orderly.
- Training cashiers on how to deal with issues like theft, refunds, swaps, and complaints.
- Addressing client concerns and forwarding them to the shopkeeper or shop manager.
- Verifying that returned goods adhere to the store's refund and exchange policies.
- Taking charge of cash handling at till points, including till balances and float reconciliations.
- Assisting cashiers with help requests, such as giving them change or checking prices.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in retail management or a similar role
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in phone etiquette
- Multilingual abilities would be advantageous
- Proficient in administrative tasks such as scheduling and inventory management
- Sound knowledge of sales management principles
- Effective time management and organisational skills
