This is no ordinary head of sales / business development role, what we are looking for here for our client is a real leader in negotiations and strategic development. Growing new areas of business by finding solutions for their customer problems and buildingthis business around the growth and development of this role, a bit like starting your own business but with the backing of a well-established market leader.

They’re looking to offer a salary of £75,000 - £85,000 dependent on experience, company car, 25 days a year holiday plus many other benefits.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Defining a list of target customers for new business development
- Grow and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities
- Create and present winning customer solutions and commercial proposals
- Qualify new leads and project manage all new revenue opportunities
- Representing the business at trade events and continuously networking to build and nurture future business

**Skills & Experience**
- Commercial awareness along with top notch negotiation skills
- Experience of working in new business development, preferably within a logistics, retail, or transportation environment
- The ability to win large multi-year outsourcing contracts
- Solution selling and closing new contract wins
- The ability to influence stakeholders
