RSR Justice are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Hereford for a Domestic Abuse Worker.
We are seeking an empathetic and resilient Domestic Abuse Worker to join the team, ensuring survivors receive the high-quality, person-centered, and trauma-informed support they need to break free from the cycle of abuse and pave the way for a positive future.
This is a full time, permanent role, offering a salary of £23,568 + Car Allowance.
**Main Duties**:
- As a Domestic Abuse Worker, your primary goal will be to provide comprehensive support and guidance to survivors of domestic abuse. Your focus will be on delivering personalised, outcome-driven assistance, both individually and in group settings.
- Manage a caseload of diverse customers, employing a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach, and ensure their journey towards safety and stability.
- Collaborate closely with key partners to provide holistic support on a range of issues, including mental health, substance use, finance management, and employment skills.
- Foster inclusive environments and tailored interventions that meet the unique needs of domestic abuse survivors.
- Identify and connect customers to essential services offered by partner agencies, coordinating a multi-agency approach when necessary.
- Empower customers to understand their legal rights and provide necessary assistance in legal matters, including accompanying them to appointments when needed.
**Essential Requirements**:
- Proven experience in supporting individuals with complex needs and a background in handling domestic abuse cases.
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and implementing effective safety planning.
- Strong partnership-building skills with various agencies and a solid understanding of multi-agency processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and customers in a professional manner.
- Knowledge of housing and benefits advice and experience with relevant software systems.
- The role may require occasional evenings and weekend working
- Female-only position due to the nature of the service.
