Assistant Merchandiser

**Assistant Merchandiser. Based from the Glossop office with the option to work from home 2 days per week after the initial training and induction period. Salary: £25-30k dependant on skills / experience + Excellent benefits and career progressionopportunities. **working on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave**

**The role**:
To contribute to all aspects of stock control, supplier management, ordering and replenishment.
- Planning and controlling stock levels
- Analysing sales and reacting to trends
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers
- Shipment planning, including import documentation
- Work alongside product teams to ensure stock arrival in a timely manner
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Forward thinking and ability to react and adapt to challenges
- Advanced understanding of Excel
- Ability to adapt to cultural differences
- Experience in an Assistant Merchandiser role or a relevant role with transferable skills e.g. a Purchasing Administrator, Stock Controller, Data Analyst, Import Administrator
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- A good working knowledge of Excel
- The ability to work at a fast pace and work well under pressure in a high-volume environment.
- The need to have good communication skills in order to work with major customers and international suppliers.
