**About the role**:
We wish to appoint someone experienced and skilled in:

- recording, producing and editing video content focused on the business, marketing, research, and teaching and learning requirements of UCL Engineering and its departments, ensuring output meets Faculty and institution brand guidelines and reflects good pedagogic practice
- Acting as the main point-of-contact for all video commissions in the Faculty. Where unable to fulfil requests in-house, working with UCL Engineering clients to specify requirements and liaising with UCL Digital Media and external partners to deliver content on time, on brand, and to budget
- Providing specific support to the Faculty Learning Technologist and Digital Innovation Unit, and collaborating with members of teaching, research and communications teams to develop creative video solutions that effectively communicate the intended message
- Leading and providing video, livestreaming, screen capture, video conferencing, audio recording and editing services to all departments within UCL Engineering, working closely with UCL Digital Media as appropriate.

**About you**:
Applicants should have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including Mathematics and English Language) or equivalent, or having acquired relevant experience and / or be educated to A Level (Minimum of 2 at grade C or above), or equivalent, or having acquired relevant skills in video production and editing.

We are looking for someone with experience of conveying complex and diverse messages through video, as well as creating films from start to finish as a solo operator - including scripting, storyboarding, filming, sound, editing, and post-production.
Experience of directing others and running complex video shoots, plus producing a wide range of lengths and styles of video is essential for this role.

To succeed in this role, excellence in technical skills in the use of video and photographic equipment including lighting, sound etc. together with video production, editing, and post-production skills (in Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Audition, Adobe After Effects) are also required. We are seeking someone with superb project management skills: ability to work independently, set up a project from its early stages and see it through to completion.
