**The Role**

**Responsibilities**
- Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project.
- Measuring and cutting materials to specifications.
- Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together.
- Checking finished work to ensure that it falls withing the tolerances marked on the blueprints.
- Supervising the other welders and making sure that their work is to a high standard.

**Requirements**:

- Working knowledge of regulations and approved codes of practice.
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment, and electrical and manual tools.
- Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing.
- Good knowledge of English.
- Good understanding of basic maths.
- Deftness and a high level of physical fitness.
- A highly motivated and confident individual with a strong desire to succeed.
- A full driving licence.
- A valid passport.
