**Closing date**: 9th February 2023

The post holder will be in a team of 7 Consultants whose job plans are divided between critical care (RBCH) and providing anaesthesia for surgical lists (RBCH/ PGH). Single specialty applicant would be welcome. This is a full-time 10PA contract with the option to take on an additional 1.0 Direct Care PA.

We are a cohesive, friendly department and actively planning for significant service reconfiguration with other Trusts in Dorset which will result in a larger new build critical care provision at Bournemouth (30 beds). At present, the Royal Bournemouth Hospital is the regional centre for cardiology and vascular surgery. Furthermore, we undertake a high number of upper GI surgeries. We maintain good links with our local teaching hospital in Southampton for referral for neurological support and cardiothoracic, with active involvement in our Critical Care network.
