The client is a leading manufacturing business, working with both UK and European clients. Having an excellent reputation for quality, innovation and development they are seeking an experienced Buyer / Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team. The clientis seeking an ambitious and friendly individual who can work well within a team but also use their own initiative. The client is seeking someone who is numerate and has an analytical nature
**Job Description**:

- Buying a category of products and services for the company
- Optimising stock levels and stock availability in line with agreed targets
- Managing new and existing suppliers' performance
- Supporting re-negotiations and cost-saving activities
- Liaising closely with other departments within the business such as customer service, operations, and development
- Cross-train within other departments within Supply Chain i.e., the Despatch team
- Similar experience within a previous role in Buying and Supply Chain Coordination
- Ideally Educated to degree level within Business Studies, Economics, or similar
- Strong IT skills - strong Excel skills
- An analytical person who has the ability to plan and prioritse workload and projects to meet deadlines
- Persuasive and personable individual
- Commercially aware
- Strong time management skills
- Strong communicator at all levels
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

**Salary**: £30,000 per Annum
