Junior DevOps Engineer

We are expanding our DevOps team at the Home Office (Border Force) to deliver on a high profile programme of work that involves building new digital services to secure the UK borders. We are seeking passionate DevOps engineers to be a part of our success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Continuously build, test, and integrate software
- Automate the deployment of artefacts produced by the CI
- Orchestrate the deployment, management, scaling, and networking of containers
- Design, deploy, and manage Public or Private Cloud environments

**Required Skills**:

- Experience operating in small cross-functional engineering teams
- Working knowledge of AWS CloudWatch and CloudTrail, Amazon Elasticsearch Service and Kibana, RDS, ansible, AWS Managed Streaming Kafka (MSK), Artifactory, Docker
- Proficiency in using infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform
- Deployment automation using Drone CI
- Strong version control skills with git

Desirable Skills:

- Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana/Sysdig, Kibana
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with test frameworks
