Template Co-ordinator

The post holder as part of the template team provides extensive specialist knowledge and expertise to ensure that the correct data is collated from the CSS App in order to be able to build on the DCW (Data Collection Workbook) and EPR (Electronic Patient Record)

The post holder must undertake DBA training (5 Days) and successfully pass the national exam.

They are responsible for the management and prioritization of building complex clinic templates and changes within EPR. The post holder must ensure all clinic build/ change requests are actioned in accordance to the given timescales whilst adhering to CHFT policies and standard operating procedures.

The post holder will be required to work under their own initiative but also as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the outpatient clinics.

The Appointment Centre is part of the Outpatient Directorate, responsible for ensuring Outpatient appointments are booked correctly, safely and efficiently ensuring we can put the patients first and help deliver effective healthcare in a timely manner.

A busy department which consists of a diverse workforce and different teams, supporting and developing our staff to help us achieve our goals whilst supporting them to achieve their potential.

Our phone team is our patient interaction, often the first port of call for many patients as they come into CHFT >
Our bookings team book for 25+ different specialties in a priority manner to ensure patients are seen in the correct clinics as quick as possible.

Our template team are responsible for managing, creating and editing the computer clinics to ensure we see as many patients possible and all patients have the correct timeframes for their appointments.
- Participate in regular supervision.
- Attend all mandatory training.
- Participate annually identifying, developing and agreeing your own development plan with your Line Manager using the Trust Appraisal.
- Comply with all Trust policies, procedures and protocols.
- Carry out duties with due regard to the Trust’s Equal Opportunity Policy.
- Seek advice and support from Line Manager whenever necessary.
- Maintain professional conduct including appearance at all times.
- Ensure maintenance of Professional Registration.
