Xpertise has partnered with a rapidly growing HealthTech firm innovating the biopharmaceutical industry. They're undergoing a large-scale digital and data transformation project, so they are looking for a Senior SQL DBA who wants to train into becoming aSQL/Database Architect to join the fledgling team.

**Title: **Database (SQL) Architect

**Salary: **£50,000-60,000

**Location: **Nottingham City + flexible hybrid working model (remote)

**Key tech stack / skills required**:

- Previous database architectural expertise and a thorough understanding of on-premise/relational database systems such as SQL and Oracle are required.
- Experience and/or understanding of cloud data solutions, ideally in Azure, is preferred.
- Experience in technical delivery with a track record of executing design and architectural tasks is required.
- Agile delivery experience.
- Must be able to operate systematically in a fast-paced, time-critical setting.
- Experience transferring on-premise data systems to cloud solutions (preferably within Azure) would be advantageous but optional.

**Role overview:
**A particularly intriguing aspect of the work is the ongoing transition from traditional databases toward researching Azure's PaaS features, including Cosmos DB. Overall, this presents a fantastic opportunity for a SQLDBA who wants training to become a more all-rounded SQL Architect and is eager to explore modern cloud database alternatives. If you have previous experience transferring SQL/Oracle databases to the cloud, that's fantastic If not, that's fine too; we cantrain and upskill you in this area.
